This pouch bag is crafted using the Japanese Boro patchwork technique, featuring carefully layered and stitched pieces of fabric. The pouch's interior is lined and reinforced, crafting an almost denim-like feel. Perfect for keeping stationery and smaller items together, or containing your wallet, keys and essentials as a ready-to-go wristlet.

Pigmented with plant-based dyes derived from indigo (blue), mangosteen (brown) and madder root (red), it resonates of denim blues with hints of warm browns and bright reds, hand-dyed to perfection. Natural dyeing is a celebration of the artistry of hand-dyeing with plant extracts and embraces natural variations, as no two MUNI products are the same.

This pouch is made wholly of cotton canvas; a durable, sturdy, and heavy duty fabric. It features a bronze-finish zipper, an internal pocket, and an extended zip pull that doubles as a loop handle for convenience. Each Boro pouch is crafted with a meticulous eye to detail, skillfully stitched and dyed by hand in Malaysia, delivering a perfect amalgamation of style and function.

We recommend hand-washing your Boro pouch with delicate detergent only. Please note that the natural dyes may interact with strong fragrances, and gradual fading with regular use is to be expected. Please read further for detailed notes on this product.

Natural dyeing is about celebrating the artistry of hand dyeing with plant extracts. Imperfections are part of its charm as the process is done entirely by hand and the outcome is often unique, so no two pieces are alike.

(MUNI uses plant based mordants and metal salts as fixers to achieve the best colour retention. We only recommend hand washing with MUNI delicate detergent or any pH neutral soaps.)

Note:

• Our natural dyes are made from tropical plant extracts.
• No toxic chemicals are used in the process.
• With regular wash & use, natural dye fabrics will fade into a lighter shade of itself, creating its own patterns and story.
• During the hand dyeing process, dye spots, uneven tones and dye streaks might appear on the fabric/product. This is common for natural dye products and is not a product defect - it adds to the uniqueness of each product!
• The dyes may react with strong deodorants, cologne and body sweat.
